Community Garden Launch Set for Spring 2016!
Following last year's Appreciative Inquiry All Church Visioning process we are in the process of launching several new projects focusing on meeting the needs of Truro residents.
1. This spring, thanks primarily to the efforts of our Chair of Trustees, Carol Bishop, plans have been made to clear the "wedge" of land next to Avery House, augment the soil and re-open the nearby well so that the land can be used as a community garden.
2. Pastor Kate will facilitate the creation of a meditation labrynth in the lawn between the thrift shed and Avery House, expand the surrounding flower beds, create several new seating areas.
3.The Thrift Shed will expand its business and hopefully, its building size.
These projects are an act of faith in the Good News of Jesus Christ which tells us that God always provides and sustains us. As we give, so shall we receive!
Jesus came to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to liberate those who are oppressed, and to proclaim the year of God’s favor.
